I’ve found a million uses for quinoa flakes and let me tell you – they aren’t just for breakfast! These hamburger patties are moist and delicious with a hint of quinoa flavor. The flakes pack an extra protein punch as well, making a ¼ lb. patty almost 30 grams of protein! I served these with my homemade burger buns and the standard All American toppings – cheese, mayo, tomato, lettuce and onion.
Secret Ingredient Burgers
1lb. lean ground beef
¾ cup quinoa flakes
1 large egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. hamburger seasoning
Mix all ingredients thoroughly and shape into 4 patties (or more, depending on how big you want them to be).
Fry on the stovetop or grill until done, when internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.
